Tor is planing a reduced paint price for this day and all Warriors club members should be getting an e-mail soon. Tor and Gunny do this every year but last year didn't come off as planned, hopefully we can get 50-70 players out there for this day since there hasn't been an big group out there this year so make plans for this.
I we don't receive an e-mail soon I will call Tor to remind him about it because when we talked about it I told him that people needed advanced notice so they could plan for it and then we may have a large turn out for a great day of play.

Saturday November 14th we will hold our annual Marine Corps
Birthday blowout. All paint prices will be reduced $10 per
case!

Paint will cost $40 to $45 per case!

This is the one day every year where Gunny and I ignore the
bottom line and celebrate our Birthday WarPlay style. We have
over 400 fellow warriors on this email list so we expect a
fantastic turnout.

The weather the past month has not been very kind and has scared
away the timid, however we have still managed to average 20 to
40 players every Saturday.

With Paint starting at $40 per case we expect to have a huge
turnout. For those of you who are new to WarPlay and have never
played our Filed with 60 or more players you are in for a real
shock. The firefights are insane and we have a few special
scenarios we only play when we have 60 or more players they are
beyond intense!

November 10th 1775 our Marine Corps was founded. On the 10th
Marines all over the world will celebrate our Corps history and
traditions. Older Marines (especially Gunny) who are no longer
in harms way will think about those who are.

Gunny and I invite you to do the same.

it probably isn't a good idea to say that one of the founding members of this site is "bugging" you. idk, just seems a little disrespectful to me. and once again i'll just stop there. lol.
but back on topic. i forgot about this day when i signed up to work. if there's enough refs i'll definately play.

This could be a really big weekend. Tor already has a group of thirty reserved to play. A good Geex turnout alone would make it 50. There are a lot of teams and groups we haven't heard from yet. I sure would love to see 100 paintbalers slugging it out on the field again.

now, i'm not quite sure about whether or not you're suggesting that the group is of marines that are noobs, or that you're separating the marines AND noobs. regardless, you'd be surprised how many marines don't know the concept or "how to play paintball." it's a little different than real life. lol either way, i haven't heard anything regarding a decent sized party going to play. but i would only know if someone from my unit is going, not anyone else. oh well, i guess we shall see won't we? lol

If my wife does decide to go, she'll be donning her marpats and will be ready to represent the Corps. The last time she played on a big field, she was the last one to leave the field after the biggest battle we had there (I think that was the day 171 walkons duked it out in the village at AG - a helluva game).

Looks like a few of the SWP organizers might be able to make it down for this one. We missed the last one down there and have still yet to play at Warplay. For now I think you can count Me, Muluso, The Baker, a few otheres and even some YBP guys in. I've heard nothing but good things about the field and have been wanting to get down to play with your crew for awhile. This looks like as good a time as any, see you guys soon.

OK, our first scheduled outing to tour the new field at Warplay (changes made) and play in team style is November 14. I expect Gunner, Lone_Wolf, Georgeyew, Splinter, McMafia, Pdiddy, Pirate, and myself to all attend. Anyone else that wants to come out and help with this event is also welcome. We are going to try to make several trips out between now and April building a dedicated team that knows the field. This team hopefully will be able to take the Geex head-on! Leaving the grunts to everyone else. So mark it on your calender and we'll see you there!

sweet. i guess this is the chance to size up the competition before the big event next year.
